BIOGRAPHY

Clonegal based artist, Jane Arnold has been practising her skills in mixed media abstract landscape painting since 2019. Originally, Jane practiced art, using plaster sculpture as a student (as her chosen medium back in 2000), she recently took her two passions of plaster and paint and combined them to create the perfect marriage of texture and abstraction.

Janes evolution into mixed media texture painting has allowed her to create a union between paint and plaster, giving textured plaster the focus on an isolated object usually the meaningful part of Janes compositions.

 

By Introducing this important element into her painting Jane can extend the range of her talent even further, the use of textured plaster as vocal point draws the viewers eye in and allows Jane to challenge the boudaries of utopia with a wonderful sense of imagination, to tell her stories.
